What Procura reads and how it rates
Procura reads federal contract opportunities on SAM.gov, including attachments, PIEE-hosted files (the Department of Defense’s procurement portal) and DSIP SBIR/STTR topics (the DoD small-business research program’s solicitation topics).
It reads the full solicitation package, every attachment, PDFs, and images included.
- Every opportunity is rated 0–3 stars, with reasons and your next steps spelled out.
- Every analysis answers: Can we do this work? Are we eligible? What could disqualify us? What will it take? Should we bid?
- Procura emails you when a new federal opportunity is a strong fit for your firm.
How your data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy →.
A free explorer of federal contract data
The federal contract data explorer is free to browse with no sign-up; sign in free to export tables. A free account has export limits; the Data Explorer plan removes them.
The federal records under the explorer’s data are USAspending, FPDS, SAM.gov and DD 1414 budget documents (the DoD’s reprogramming base documents). Prime award data is loaded from USAspending.gov monthly and subcontract reports from SAM.gov daily; explorer lists and search refresh nightly, and each explorer page shows the date of its data.
Explorer figures and data are free to reuse under CC BY 4.0 →.
Our research report, The Subaward Gap → (Oct 2026), found that USAspending.gov failed to ingest roughly 38% of federal subcontract reports filed since June 2025.
